Badges are broken
Fundamentally, this was caused by the same issue as the close vote reviews not appearing.
Scheduled routes are back in action, so you should see badges awarded as expected. Thanks for the report!

Syntax highlighting can be enabled by staff, but you have to tell the system which one (Rust, JavaScript, or something else) needs to be applied. That can be done in two ways:
